The I2-PLEDGE Project Meeting and Training Sessions Successfully Concluded at the University of L’Aquila, Italy
From May 27 to 29, 2025, the University of L’Aquila (Italy) hosted the next coordination meeting and capacity-building training sessions within the framework of the Erasmus+ funded project “I2-PLEDGE: Development and Implementation of Innovative and Interdisciplinary Programs in Biomedical Engineering in Uzbekistan.”
The event was organized as part of the European Union’s Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) initiative and brought together more than 20 representatives from two European universities, one training center, and seven higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the three-day sessions, professors and lecturers had the opportunity to exchange experience and learn about the EU’s advanced practices in the field of biomedical engineering. The training focused on innovative teaching methodologies, interdisciplinary program development, and the integration of modern technologies into biomedical education.
Participants also discussed the project’s progress, achievements, and upcoming activities aimed at strengthening biomedical engineering education and research capacity in Uzbekistan.
The I2-PLEDGE project continues to play a vital role in fostering international cooperation between European and Uzbek universities, contributing to the modernization and innovation of higher education programs in the field of biomedical engineering.
